Gabrielas Medical Expenses
On December 9, 2016, while 13-year-old Gabriela was attending a baseball game, she was hit by a vehicle across the street. The impact was so severe that she fractured the skull among others parts of her body. The same was subjected to a few surgeries including removal of part of hes skull and deposited in her stomach for an indefinite period to be able to preserve it. Gabby is still in an induced comatose state and has not yet fully awakened, today she underwent another surgery so that she can feed herself through a sleeve. The health insurance plan does not cover all the associated expenses and those of her family. They also prescribed some injections that cost about $500.00 per injection of Botox for pain and mobilization of her body and are not covered by the insurance medical plan. Any help provided will be of great help for medications, therapies, hospital stays and all associated expenses. The recovery time is slow and we still do not have a precise diagnostic as it woke up or that other sequels have in question of vision, motor, cognitive or language. Hopefully everything will be a slow progress but we all expecting a healthy and good recovery.
El pasado 9 de diciembre de 2016, mientras Gabriela de 13 años de edad asistia a un juego de beisball fue arrollada por un vehiculo al cruzar la calle. El impacto fue tan severo que le fracturo el craneo entre otros. La misma fue sometida a unas cuantas cirugias entre ellas remocion de parte de su craneo y depositado en su estomaguito por tiempo indefinido para poder preservarlo. Gabby esta todavia en estado comatoso inducido y hasta el momento no ha despertado totalmente, hoy fue sometida a otra cirugia para que pueda alimentarse por medio de una manga. Su plan de salud no cubre todos los gastos asociados y los de su familia. Tambien le recetaron unas inyecciones que su costo es de unos $500.00 por injeccion de Botox para el dolor y la mobilizacion y no son cubiertas por su plan medico. Cualquier ayuda brindada sera de gran ayuda para medicamentos, terapias, estadias de hospital y todos los gastos asociados. El tiempo de recuperacion es lento y todavia no tenemos un diasnostico preciso de como despertara o que otras secuelas tenga en cuestion de vision, motor, cognitivo o del lenguage. Esperemos que todo aunque sea lento sea bueno y su recuperacion sea buena y saludable.
