Hello! My name is Gabriela, I’m 15 years old and live and go to school in Madrid, Spain.
I have been involved with the 1st Madrid British Scouts since I was 8.
The opportunity came up to apply for a place at the WSJ (World Scout Jamboree) which next year is being held in Korea. After a long and exhausting application I was successfully chosen to represent my troop at next years jamboree being held in summer 2023 at SaeManGeum. I will be one of 40,000 scouts from all over the world and among only a handful from Spain.
The Jamboree brings together young people to learn about each others cultures, learn new skills, and help make a future together.
The theme for the 25th World Scout Jamboree experience is "Draw your Dream", so that the world can accept young people's ideas and opinions, and create an opportunity for them to make their Jamboree dreams come true.
I hope to represent my Scout group in Korea for all young people and so looking forward to this opportunity. I'm so excited to go, I can't wait to visit Korea, and learn about the culture. I'm convinced that this is going to be a memorable experience that I'll never forget!
I need to fundraise 4000€ to go. I have set up an FB and Instagram to show what I am doing including making delicious cookies and cakes and here for people that want to support me. Since I live in a developed country, I pay more so that other scouts in less developed countries can pay less and are able to go :) If you would like to help me draw my dream in Korea and live up to the Scout vision of making a better world for all I would be so grateful for your support.

¡Hola! Me llamo Gabriela, tengo 15 años. Vivo y voy a una escuela en Madrid, España.
He estado involucrada con los primeros Scouts británicos en Madrid desde que tenía 8 años.
Surgió la oportunidad de solicitar un lugar en el WSJ (world scout jamboree) que se llevará a cabo el próximo año en Corea. Después de una larga y agotadora solicitud, fui elegido con éxito para representar a mi tropa en el jamboree del próximo año que se llevará a cabo en el verano de 2023 en SaeManGeum. Seré uno de los 40.000 scouts de todo el mundo y entre pocos de España.
El Jamboree reúne a jóvenes para aprender sobre las culturas de los demás, aprender nuevas habilidades y ayudar a construir un futuro juntos.
El tema de la experiencia del 25.º Jamboree Scout Mundial es "Dibuja tu sueño", para que el mundo pueda aceptar las ideas y opiniones de los jóvenes, y crear una oportunidad para que hagan realidad sus sueños de Jamboree.
Espero representar a mi grupo Scout en Corea para todos los jóvenes y espero con ansias esta oportunidad. Estoy tan emocionada de ir, no puedo esperar para visitar Corea y aprender sobre la cultura. ¡Estoy convencida de que esta será una experiencia memorable que nunca olvidaré!
Necesito recaudar 4000€ para ir. He creado un FB e Instagram para mostrar lo que estoy haciendo, incluida la preparación de deliciosas galletas y pasteles, y aquí para las personas que quieran apoyarme. Como vivo en un país desarrollado, pago más para que otros scouts en países más pobres puedan ir. Si desean apoyarme a dibujar mi sueño en Corea y vivir de acuerdo con la visión Scout de hacer un mundo mejor para todos, estaría muy agradecida por su apoyo.
