Below is a message from our Pastor G:

I just wanted to thank all of you for praying for Gabby and our entire family. Thank you so much.

For those that aren’t aware, yesterday, my baby Gabriela Isabela Venegas (fearless Gabby) went home to be with the Lord.

Our hearts are broken because we love her and miss her. I feel a gaping hole in my heart that is filled with sorrow. A hole that may not be fully healed in my lifetime.

Nonetheless, I choose to fill that hole with God’s promises, even with pain, sorrow and hurt. My fearless Gabby believed in those same promises with all of her being. I choose to trust and abide in our Great Physician to heal my heart, the same physician that continually saved my baby and healed her from so many things in her 15 years of life.

I write this all as I lay in her bed. Even through this pain, I chose to rejoice, keep praying, and give thanks. I miss her so much. I love her so much. I’ve cried too much, yet not enough. But I know that God loves her more than I ever could.

She is home, our eternal home. No more pain. No more illness. No more death. No more hate. She is home. She fought the good fight and finished her race. She was ready. It was time.

Gabby was special needs, especially needed to make a difference in this world to impact it for God’s Kingdom. Her legacy and impact are that of perseverance and faith. She has over 30 surgeries and countless hurdles that she’s overcome. She has shaped many of us to be better people. She was one of God's many tools to reach me in my past. To turn my once heart of stone into a heart of flesh. This girl has always been part of challenging me to be better as a person.
