Our sweet housemate Gabriel needs our support for his gender affirmation surgery! Gabe is an essential worker, organizer, artist, and favorite duck/chicken uncle. During these times, he has transitioned through his jobs to bring in income and save up funds for his surgery. Due to COVID, he had to take a minor break from work and as he returns back to his restaurant job, he could really use our help. Gabriel's surgery is an essential health procedure and we are waiting for the final cost. 

This fundraiser is taking into consideration his costs for housing, meals, at home care, and time he needs to take off work as he recovers from surgery. This amount will be adjusted to a lower or higher amount, once we hear back from the insurance company. 

Gabriel is over-the-moon excited about this procedure. For trans people, accessing gender-affirming healthcare is often frustrating, expensive, and slow. Fundraising has historically been a vital tool for the trans community to help each other and encourage each others' transitions. We greatly appreciate anything you can spare him.
