Please Help Bring Gabriel Home

Hi, my name is Teahne, I've started this fundraiser for our beautiful Gabriel.

Gabriel, known to many as Gabe, was born on the 4th of February 1998, and oh what joy he brought to every person who had the pleasure of meeting him. Gabriel sadly passed away in a horrendous accident where he was struck by a car, overseas in Malaysia on Sunday. Gabe and his best friend were travelling. We are utterly heartbroken for the loss of our amazing friend, son and brother, Gabriel.

Gabe’s family are now needing to transport his body home back to Australia to give him the burial that he deserves.

Gabe was and is so loved. Our friend group have lost two other of our best friends over the last few years and they are buried at Waverly cemetery very close to each other. We want to put Gabe next to his friends, so we can visit them all together, and so he can rest with those closest to him.

The cost to get Gabe home and have him buried at Waverly cemetery is next to $80, 000 AUD. His best friends and I have organised this to try and support Gabe’s family in doing this and donate any remaining funds to Headspace, where nearly all of our friends have attended, and we believe that it would be what Gabe would have wanted.

Gabe was a beautiful man with the biggest heart, who had a profound zest for life that was contagious, he was always thinking about what he wanted to do next. He never failed to make you smile, his presence was calming and uplifting, and always saw the good even in the worst of situations. Gabe was honest, humble, thoughtful, and awfully generous, he would go to the ends of the earth for his friends and his family. He was ridiculously intelligent and knew what he wanted out of life. All he wanted was to live his life to the fullest, to travel and see the world, to experience life and push himself out of his comfort zone.

If recent times have taught us anything, community is everything, and we need our community to help us bring Gabe home and lay him to rest with his best friends.
