GABRIEL, EJEMPLO DE FE Y FORTALEZA

Gabriel de Jesús García Cárdenas es un hermoso niño de 4 años de edad nacido en la Isla de Margarita, Venezuela. Es muy alegre, risueño, pícaro, soñador, amoroso y tierno, un niño normal, sano hasta hace poco, que asistía a su kindergarden, con su rutina diaria y criado en un entorno de amor familiar.

El ha tenido que superar varios obstáculos demostrando gran valentía y fortaleza en todo momento, fue criado sus primeros años de vida en pandemia y en el 2022 superó el “Síndrome de Kawasaki”, enfermedad que ameritó varios días de hospitalización.

Un día enfermó con un cuadro de vómito y diarrea, por lo cual fue llevado a emergencias, siendo en realidad la causa un problema mucho mayor, al ver los valores sanguíneos tan alterados, se diagnostica una reacción leucemoide.

En ese momento las alarmas se encendieron y nos trasladamos a Caracas, capital de Venezuela para poder realizar el estudio de Médula Ósea y descartar una leucemia… nuestros planes eran regresar en un par de días a Margarita para poder celebrar su cumpleaños #4.

Sin embargo, el 6 de julio de 2023 fue confirmada la Leucemia Linfoblástica de Riesgo Estándar y fue inmediatamente hospitalizado para iniciar tratamiento de quimioterapia, no hubo tiempo de pensar ni procesar una noticia tan impactante… Hasta ese momento me encontraba sola con él en Caracas, y solo pudimos abandonarnos en las manos de Dios y confiar en su ayuda, afortunadamente muchas manos solidarias nos han ayudado en este proceso que lleva un poco más de 2 meses, sin embargo, debido a la condición de salud debemos permanecer varios meses en Caracas, pues es la única forma de que el niño pueda tener garantizado su tratamiento y recibir la atención de especialistas que necesita.

Al no ser de Caracas, no tener familia, ni vivienda, se nos hace urgente conseguir un lugar donde Gabriel pueda permanecer para tener un proceso de recuperación lo más óptimo posible. Los gastos de exámenes de laboratorios, estudios especiales y medicamentos son semanales, además se debe mantener el tipo de alimentación necesaria, cubrir los traslados para el hospital y además cubrir los gastos de viaje para poder atender al niño más grande que vive en Margarita. Por todo ello, vemos la necesidad de generar esta campaña, cuyo principal objetivo es motivar las oraciones y buenas acciones en favor de la sanación total y definitiva de Gabriel de Jesús, unir corazones para que pueda recibir toda la atención necesaria y poder garantizar el ambiente seguro para el bienestar del niño durante los próximos meses del protocolo de quimioterapia.

Esperamos cubrir los gastos principales de

ü Laboratorios, estudios y medicamentos, que se estiman alrededor de 500 $ mensuales

ü Nutrición, en base a la dieta que debe cubrir son 300 $ mensuales aproximadamente

ü Traslados para el hospital, deben hacerse casi diariamente y representan alrededor de 100 $ mensuales

ü Alquiler de vivienda, en torno a los niveles de vida de la ciudad de Caracas se estima en 500 $ mensuales

ü Gastos de viajes, por ser nuestro lugar de residencia la Isla de Margarita, tener nuestro niño mayor estudiando allá y tener los compromisos fijos se amerita que mi esposo realice un viaje con un estimado de 250 $ por lo menos mensual para poder solventar temas familiares, escolares y generales.

Se estima que la duración del tratamiento sea de 148 semanas, por lo que es un largo proceso que nos espera, pero sabemos que iniciando esta campaña para estos próximos 6 meses con la ayuda de muchas personas podremos superar este tiempo y lograremos la sanación total de Gabrielito según la voluntad de Dios.

Las oraciones y palabras de apoyo nos siguen sosteniendo día a día en esta batalla que vamos ganando.

Not being from Caracas, not having family, or housing, it is urgent for us to find a place where Gabriel can stay to have the most optimal recovery process possible. The expenses for laboratory tests, special studies and medications are weekly. In addition, he need a special type of diet, many transportation to the hospital, and travel expenses must also be covered to be able to care for the oldest child who lives in Margarita. For all these reasons, we see the need to generate this campaign, whose main objective is to motivate prayers and good actions in favor of the total and definitive healing of Gabriel de Jesús, unite hearts to receive all the necessary medical attention during the next months of chemotherapy.
