These wonderful folks are my inlaws Kevin and Gloria, they made the big leap and left their childhood home behind to start a new chapter in North Carolina. In a just a couple months (and quite a whirlwind blur) my wonderful mother-in-law made all the arrangements for moving. Yards sales, estate sales, packing, going through years upon years of memories, sifting through each box lovingly to take the mementos that meant the most to her.
The day came for the moving company to come and pick up their belongings. Unable to choose a company like Upack or Pods due to the area they lived in, she chose a company that was able to accommodate their particular needs and restrictions. She did research on this company and they had wonderful reviews, even calling the Better Business Bureau to inquire about more in depth information. Well this company was not the one that she thought it was, or the one that the BBB gave her the information on, as it has a similar name (almost exact, minus the LLC) to the moving company she thought she was using.
The unthinkable has happened, this company has stolen their belongings, they are not answering their calls, they are being very shady and uncooperative. Their stuff is somewhere, they may never get it back, furniture can be replaced, clothes can be replaced but those memories, photos and heirlooms they can not. They are doing everything in their power to hold it together, to be positive and those of you who personally know my mother in law , you know she has a very large heart and always looks for the good in people. It's disgusting that these people committed this theft, but unfortunately that's the way of the world today. I know there are still great people out there and I'm praying all you wonderful folks can help by making any type of donation to help them replace at least some of their items lost. Right now she's looking at a very empty house and a very long list of items that need to be replaced. Let's be the Angel's they need in their lives so badly right now.
