For high school, I was invited to live in New York City to attend a music specialization high school. Being at this school allows me to study music at an intense and advanced stage, and affords me diverse and many musical opportunities. While here, I am a member of the Face The Music program, Mannes Prep, New York Youth Symphony, as well as SMSHS, placing me in a different music group every day of the week. I have performed at Carnegie Hall, the Greene Space, Roulette, The Firehouse Space, and National Sawdust, among others. I have also performed in Washington DC at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and in Paris, France, for the United Nations International Climate Summit. This year is my senior year, and for the first time, I am living in a dorm as opposed to the host family situations I had been in for the last three years. I was unable to find a host family for my senior year so living in this dorm allows me to continue my music studies and live semi-independently. The one catch to living in this dorm is that it's very expensive. A board of benefactors has already paid a generously large amount, leaving me to worry only about the remaining $4,000 I must pay. This $4,000 would cover my dorm fees for the rest of the school year and let me continue my music studies in New York City. The final payment on my dorm is due January 5, and I need to raise the money by then. Any amount you donate would be greatly appreciated.
