Gabe's Courageous Fight
Donation protected
January 4, 2021 my dad was diagnosed with COVID. At this time he was experiencing some confusion along with the normal side effects. His confusion and memory started to decline rapidly. His doctor suggested to wait three weeks before being seen. Our family insisted that he go see his parent's primary physician. Immediately he ordered an MRI of the brain. At that time it was discovered he has a brain tumor resting on the brain stem.
A week later he had an appointment with a Neurologist, who ordered an MRI with contrast. That MRI revealed not only a brain tumor but also 6 additional lesions on the brain. The neurologist believes it to be cancer. After seeing the results from the MRI with contrast he ordered a navigation MRI to be conducted the day of the two biopsies on February 22, 2021. During the procedure the team was not able to perform the biopsy on any of the six lesions, due to it being life threatening, they were able to reach the brain tumor.
March 2nd my dad was diagnosed with Grade 3 Malignant Neoplasm of Cerebellum and Grade 3 Malignant neoplasm of the temporal lobe. The treatment plan we are following is to remove the tumor on April 7, 2021 and treat the 6 lesions with Chemotherapy and Radiation. Possibility of losing speech and memory, to what extent, the neurologist could not say.
Since January 4, 2021 neither of my parents have been able to work due to my dad needing 24/7 monitoring and care. This unfortunate event has turned our family's lives upside down, which is why we have started a page to help my dad fight to win this battle. Any donations will help my parents through this tough time with hospital bills, doctor bills, and day to day expenses. If you cannot donate, please keep our family in your prayers. We truly appreciate all of the love, support and prayer everyone has given us.
