Gabe's Hospital Bills
Donation protected
Help us raise funds for Gabe's recovery.
Gabe is in the hospital because of a reoccurring pneumothorax. He went into surgery and had a blebectomy and pleurodesis done to prevent his lung from collapsing again. Although he still has one bleb on his right lung, his lungs should not collapse again. We expect a relatively quick recovery. However, because he will be out of work for a few months, we are looking for additional assistance to cover our unexpected medical bills. The hospital Gabe is staying at is out of our health insurance's network. This means that all of our bills are doubled, in addition to our $6,000 deductible. We don't know how much the medical bills will add up to, but we will update our funding goal once we know how much our bills will be. We have several more business days before the itemized billing statement is available.
As you know, the Coronavirus is affecting many jobs including my job in the restaurant industry. I was planning on working to take care of our household expenses; however, my work has cut half of the staff and will possibly close due to the virus.
These donations will not only help pay for medical bills but will also assist us with day-to-day necessities, such as food and/or medication he may need. Any type of donation will be greatly appreciated.
