Gabe Walstrom

On Sunday August 9th, Gabriel Walstrom (22), had a very serious accident. He dove off a dock into shallow water on Forest Lake injuring his neck.  He was unconscious and pulseless needing CPR which was performed promptly by a friend and soon after by first responders.  He was airlifted to HCMC where it was determined he had a cervical neck fracture at c3 c4 as well as bilateral vertebral artery dissections and later an MRI showed signs consistent with an anoxic brain injury. He underwent emergency neck stabilization surgery the night of his accident.  He has not moved nor woke up since the accident and remains on life support.

Due to his serious condition, the medical expenses are putting another strain on our family. All donations from our GoFundMe will be put towards his recovery and the financial cost of the accident. We are working hard to do what is best for Gabe.

We do not know what Gods plan for Gabe is yet, but God is moving. We are asking for your prayers during this season for Gabe and our family. We have been so overwhelmed by the amount of love and support we have received. We feel so blessed to be surrounded by such amazing and loving people. My family and I want to thank you all.
