Gabe Neagle medical relief

Hi my name is Melissa and I am fundraising for my best friend Stacey Neagle and her husband Matt Neagle.

 

Matt and Stacey are in the fight of their life for their son, Gabe.

 

This nightmare started March 18th. Gabe started experiencing debilitating headaches, and vomiting. They thought it was migraines. He was at a hockey tournament that weekend. He was taken to the children’s hospital in Buffalo, NY. They gave him medication and were told if he felt up to it he could play the next day. Gabe was able to play and the team ended up winning the tournament.

 

The headaches resumed Monday, along with unusual tiredness. After speaking with their pediatrician they were advised to go straight to the ER. After an exam and Gabe stating he had double vision at times, they did a CT scan. They found a tumor in the middle of his brain. Due to its size and location, it was causing fluid backup that led to the headaches.

 

After an initial surgery to relieve the pressure and biopsy the tumor, Gabe has been diagnosed with a Papillary Tumor of the Pineal region. This is a very rare tumor in children. Their oncologist is working with doctors all over the world for proper diagnoses and treatment.

 

We are hoping this go fund me will help deflect some of the medical costs, as well as any travel expenses they will face.
