New goal: Gabe’s Wish Trip Aboard the Disney Cruise Halloween on the High Seas and San Diego Zoo!

✨ Gabe’s Wish Trip — New Goal: +$3,000 ✨

After everything Gabe has been through during leukemia treatment, we are incredibly excited that he finally gets to experience something that is about celebrating him and having FUN — his Make-A-Wish trip! ❤️

Make-A-Wish is providing Gabe’s wish trip, and we are so grateful. We’re setting a new goal on his existing fundraiser to help with the extra expenses surrounding the trip, including getting our family of six ready to travel and a few days we are planning to spend in San Diego after the official wish trip ends. Those additional San Diego expenses are ours to cover.

We would love to be able to say yes a little more than usual — yes to the Halloween costumes for trick-or-treating aboard the ship, yes to a special souvenir, yes to the zoo, and yes to making some really happy family memories after a few years that have included far too many hospitals, appointments, procedures, and worries.

Getting Our Family Trip-Ready — ~$950

* Going-out clothes for dinners

* Halloween costumes for the kids to trick-or-treat on the ship

* Swimsuits, sun hats and pool/beach shoes for the kids

* A swimsuit and pool/beach clothes for Mom after postpartum weight changes

* Toiletries, travel bags and other travel necessities

☀️ Our San Diego Extension — ~$1,700–$2,000

These are the days we are adding ourselves after Gabe’s official Make-A-Wish trip and are not part of his wish expenses. It is our responsibility to cover these costs.

* Hotel accommodations for our family of six

* Meals

* A family trip to the San Diego Zoo

* Transportation and miscellaneous expenses

* Souvenirs for the kids

* Ice cream, treats and a little extra spending money for fun

Anything raised will go toward preparing our family for Gabe’s trip and helping us enjoy our extra time together in San Diego.

There is something really special about being able to update the same fundraiser that followed Gabe through treatment with something so happy. So many people supported and loved him through the hardest parts of this journey. Now we get to celebrate how far he has come.

Gabriel has officially completed leukemia treatment and is now in survivorship — a milestone we once only dreamed about.

While treatment ending is an incredible blessing, survivorship is not simply a return to normal life overnight. Pediatric cancer survivorship includes ongoing monitoring appointments, labs, long-term follow-up care, emotional healing, rebuilding stability after years of interrupted work and constant medical demands, and helping a child transition back into simply being a kid again.

Going forward, donations will help support Gabe’s continued medical follow-up needs, travel related to appointments, household recovery from the financial strain of treatment, and meaningful experiences and opportunities for Gabe and our family as we continue navigating life after cancer.

We are endlessly grateful for every person who has supported Gabe throughout this journey.
