At only 13 years of age Gabe Hefner has been critically injured after sustaining a gunshot wound to the head. He is currently in critical condition in the ICU. 

Current Update:
Gabe is in a medical induced coma. The hospital was able to remove the bullet which had lodged in front of his brain. He will likely lose his right eye as a result of the injury. The doctors had to remove the damaged part of his brain and part of his skull to allow swelling. The skull is being preserved and the doctors plan to reattach it at a later date. There is also concern of infection.
