Funding Gabe a new kidney!

I'm raising a fundraiser for my husband, Gabe, so that we can take care of his kidney donation and surgery cost. Please, anything can make a difference to our journey at this time.

Gabe unfortunately fell ill when turning 25, and by the age of 26, he was diagnosed with CKD, Stage 4. We weren't lucky during the first initial wave of COVID. Gabe was sick, and his symptoms ended up hospitalizing him for 8 days. After being discharged, we thought it was clear and we could move on to recovery. Unfortunately, COVID hit again much harder with two blood clots in his lungs. Though the symptoms Gabe endured weren’t too severe, they ended up becoming long-term and eventually damaging his kidneys further.

Due to his kidney health, my Bug now has to do dialysis, maintaining his health around his treatments and cannot do what he used to do as he’s depending on these treatments to keep his kidney health as stable as possible. Even with the situation, my Bug remains happy and hopeful for a new kidney donation. The symptoms that comes after his treatments are tiresome, and can be harsh on his body including his heart health. Your contribution can make a huge difference and give hope by providing a second chance for him to recover and fight kidney disease. Gabe is a husband to me, an awesome-sauce of an uncle to his nephew and nieces, and a funny middle sibling to his brothers and sister. A good dad to his fur babies, and a sweetheart to his in-laws. He can’t do what he used to do being on a machine. The minimum amount of years he has to do this per his blood type is 3-4 years. We do appreciate your kindness and support.
