Gabe Corbett’s family & medical costs
Gabe Corbett, son of Jill and Stan Thornton, was involved in a car accident, along with his friends Saturday night, November 16th, 2019, in Hiawatha, KS. Gabe is being treated at KU Medical Center for several serious injuries. While Gabe is recovering, his family is going to have a lot of missed work and upcoming medical costs. Please help raise money to give the family some peace of mind, as they encourage Gabe to heal. All funds will go directly to Gabe’s family to be used where it is needed.

Update on Gabe: with surgery yesterday had rod placed in femur, screws in hip, repaired ligaments/tendons and cleaned up bone fragments. Non weight bearing on hip for 9 weeks. Blood transfusion today. Dislocated elbow. Has stable fractures in vertebrae in neck and low back. Will be in ICU for couple more days then regular room at ku med, then to a rehab facility in kc. The family all appreciates everyone’s continued prayers!

Got to see our Gabe tonight. (And he’s still just as handsome!). Still in ICU. Hard to see him hurting so much. So weird to see him without a smile on his face. Of course due to the meds he’s very groggy. He had trouble keeping his eyes open much and only talks a little bit. Please continue to pray for his physical healing but also spiritual and emotional too. They found another fracture today in his left hand. (He’s left handed, so this makes things even tougher). His right arm is already immobilized and completely wrapped from elbow dislocation. Also Jill said they have been working to keep his oxygen levels up as they occasionally drop. That and his blood pressure has been high. Thank you sooooo much for continuing to pray for all the kids and families involved!
