Gabby Strong, No One Fights Alone

Hello, my name is Cynthia and I am the Aunt,“TT” and God Mother of my niece Gabriella Conforti. February 27th our family’s life changed forever. After months of back and abdominal pain, night sweats, trips to the pediatrician, ER, Physical Therapy and Orthopedic Doctor visit with MRI and X Ray Gabriella was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma. Gabby’s 12th birthday was spent inside of her first PET scan. Since then Gabriella has had cat scans, PET scans, biopsy, port implant and has started chemotherapy. The plan is for her to undergo 5 rounds, 3 weeks each round. Unfortunately her first round landed my sister and her husband with Gabriella in the hospital for 12 days. Eddie and Michelle have had better days with getting Gabriella’s side effects under control and more manageable. With hopes to complete round 5 at the end of June, God willing Gabby will be cured. Gabby is being treated at Rush University Medical Pediatric Hospital. These funds will be used for Gabriella and her family for out of pocket expenses, lost work wages and to try to help Gabby get back to some what of a normal life. Gabby will have continued doctor visits for the rest of her life after living with Cancer. This is so important to me and really hits home for so many reasons, Cancer is a ruthless disease, relentless. No one should have to go through this, let alone a child. I want to help their family in any way we can as a community, friends and neighbors during this difficult time.
