Saturday night Gabby was rushed to the emergency room by ambulance with complications from a meningitis infection, Sunday surgery was performed to help clear the infection and put on ventilation, by Sunday night complications got more serious and she coded twice, it was discovered that she had fallen into a deep coma and had suffered severe damage to the brain with extensive swelling, by Monday we were told to prepare for the worst that she may be brain dead, her pupils were fixed and dilated and all reflexes were non reactive, Tuesday morning sedative meds were stopped and the body temp was raised back to 97, an EEG was used for the first time to monitor brainwave activity and unfortunately the machine was unable to get a active reading, there was a very faint sign of activity that could be caused by surrounding electronics but there’s no definitive say, the doctor has said from a medical point she is brain dead, the family has asked for a second medical opinion which will be preformed Wednesday morning, in the meantime she has been given until Thursday 10/13 to fight to recover to show some sign of recovery and brain activity, a final test will be given and at that point the final decision will be made.

The life of Gabby Lee

Gabrielle Gonzalez was born to Wendy Hargrave and Abe Gonzalez November 4th 1992 in Fort Worth, Texas where she grew up all her life in the surrounding areas. Gabby graduated from Brewer High School Class of 2011. Gabby married her highschool sweetheart Dwayne Lee March 30th of 2014, together they provided to the world 4 beautiful children Izaak Lee age 9, Izaiah Lee age 7, Izabel Lee age 5, and baby Izrael Lee age 2. Gabby was the first in her family to graduate college in 2015 she then went on to open her own successful cake shop That Cake Place in 2018, she did however close it down 2021 to shift focus on a new adventure with a child’s learning center Ordered Steps Learning Center that was just opened September 2022.

Gabby has a soul that could never be replaced, she is the most caring, patient, positive person and mother you could imagine, her laughter and smile could light a room, her heart is strung with gold, never had a negative thing to say about someone, held strong to her faith, she is always there to help any way she can, she has big dreams and goals for not only herself but her family, she is a honest person, she is still just blossoming in her life. Gabby is a strong person that has overcome many obstacles in her life and has said many of prayers for people, now is the time we return the favor for her.
