Help Gabby get a service dog
Donation protected
My name is Gabby and I am trying to raise funds for a mobility service dog.
I was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) in my left leg and foot when I was 15 years old. I also have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome – Hypermobility Type (EDS). Both of these conditions cause me to lose my balance while walking. CRPS causes extreme pain, which makes it difficult to walk or simply function. EDS causes my joints to hyperextend and/or dislocate easily. Both conditions can also cause me to become lightheaded and have very low energy.
Among other tasks, my dog will be trained to provide support and stability while I am walking, protect my sick leg while walking or in a crowded area, open and close doors, retrieve items, and carry things for me.
My goal is to get a Labrador retriever puppy and, with the help of local service dog training facilities, train the dog myself. This plan will significantly reduce the cost of obtaining and training a service dog, but it is still a very expensive endeavor.
Any and all funds raised here will go toward obtaining and training my dog. I will be eternally grateful for any help I receive. I hope to be able to post pictures and updates of my new puppy soon!
Thank you so much!
