Gabby Brook was admitted to Children's Hospital in July due to a swollen lymph node in her neck. After several days of testing and biopsies, doctors discovered the presence of cancer; specifically Burkitt's Lymphoma. Gabby has completed her first round of chemotherapy and will continue receiving treatment at Children's Hospital for the next several months. Her prognosis is good and the physicians have said this is VERY TREATABLE.
Gabby has a special message for everyone: "I want you to know that I am fine, and I know that everything is going to be OK. Since I've been home, I've been shooting hoops, baking, and playing with my dog. Even though I have cancer, it hasn't changed who I am inside."
We have received many inquires on how people might be able to help lighten the load on the Brook family, so they can focus on Gabby's treatment and recovery. While food donations are a wonderful gesture, due to Covid-19, her oncologist has suggested the family not accept any kind of homemade food from other families due to Gabby's immunocompromised status. Further, Children's Hospital will NOT allow any sort of deliveries or mail at this this time due to the pandemic.
Andrea, Mike, Isaak and Gabby have been wonderful friends to many of us and we feel this is just a small way we can help reciprocate their kindness. Any donations will go directly to Andrea & Mike where they will be able to allocate it as needed (travel expenses, food, etc).

Please keep Gabby and her family in your prayers! Thank you so much for visiting!
