Gabby Angellotti Recovery Fund

On Sunday November 17th 2019 during the middle of the day, Gabby was going about her day normally watching football when suddenly, a gun went off in a neighboring apartment. The bullet went through the living room wall and the couch before entering Gabby’s body. The bullet struck her back and traveled through her right lung in three places. It also hit and bruised her heart. The doctors said the bullet came within centimeters of three major blood vessels/arteries and her heart. She had to go through three massive blood transfusions and emergency surgery to save her life. Gabby is 22 years old and recently graduated from Douglas J Aveda Institute in Chicago as a Licensed Esthetician. She will turn 23 December 1st. The doctors said it’s a miracle she’s still with us and she will still have a very long road ahead in recovery, rehabilitation, and medical expenses as she continues to fight through this tragedy. She has been surrounded by family, friends, and some of the best medical care team we’ve ever witnessed. Gabby and all of us here with her are extremely grateful for any and all kind words, support, and donations. Thank you and keep Gabby in your prayers. In addition, all donations will be given to Gabby’s mother Patricia Pirkle, who is overseeing Gabby’s care, to be used towards Gabby’s medical and recovery expenses and any expenses accrued due to this tragedy. Any excess money received that exceeds what is needed for Gabby’s treatment and recovery will be given as a donation to the hospital’s ER department which saved her life.
