Help a Hero Defeat a Monster
I am trying to raise funds to help my parents after finding that Brian has lung cancer. He will have to undergo surgery to have a piece or pieces of his lung removed. I know this is the start of a very long journey for them. The story started almost 40 years ago. They were high school sweethearts, lost and then reunited 35 years later, and are now married and soaking up the time they have missed away from each other. What started as a storybook romance has taken a harsh turn as his health is declining a bit more than expected. He still gets up early every day and goes to his work, and when he's not working, he is finding ways to help others in need. This man will go the extra mile to help a complete stranger. His heart is something I admire, and I aspire to be like that every day.
Brian has recently had to take time off work for oncology appointments, scans, and everything that goes along with the diagnosis. This has left them unprepared to deal with everyday finances. We all know everything is more expensive these days, and while they might be able to barely keep up with monthly bills, there isn't much left over to live life outside of the hospital room. There will be many doctor's bills on the horizon, and storms to weather. So if you can find it in your heart to donate any amount, they will be forever grateful. Even sharing this with someone or somewhere helps a ton. We are hoping he can beat this as he has a strong will and a supportive family behind him.
The funds will be used to alleviate any medical bills, along with providing any medical necessities and to improve overall quality of life for this man who gives so much of his time and energy helping others. The journey doesn't end here; the fight begins. Please help Brian and Mary continue their love story and provide a light so they can navigate this dark time.
