Thank you for allowing us to introduce our son, Brian Patrick Collins, to you.  We are looking to help Brian continue to develop his raw and natural talent in racing.  This awesome young man deserves to test his skill nationally and see where racing can take him but we need your help….

Brian started his go-kart career at the age of 9.  An indoor go-kart track, The Pit, had opened in Mooresville, NC and, as a reward for doing well in school, we took him.  Our visits started out as a treat but after several people commented on his skill, we enrolled him in rental kart league racing.  It quickly became evident that Brian was improving with each race and had a natural talent – anticipating problems ahead, calculating passing options and setting himself up on the track to make smart moves.  While proud parents, it was the feedback we started getting from the track owner and anonymous sources that let us know something else might be on the horizon.

An outdoor track, GoPro Motorplex, was next to open in Mooresville.  Brian first visited was in 2014 and he was excited to race outdoors. Not long after going to the track for fun, we were contacted about getting Brian into more serious racing – the Briggs&Stratton LO206 Junior Class.  Entering the season mid-way through, in August 2014, we were anxious to see how Brian handled being in a very serious and competitive field.  Brian was AMAZING and proved that his skill was not a fluke!  Next we took him to Kershaw, S.C. to race at Carolina MotorSports Park and again were barraged with feedback on his skill. He continued to improve with each race and listened closely when others gave him advice.  We watched as our son soaked up everything around him and were in awe as he translated it to the track. Standing on the podium brought tremendous pride and confidence to our son.
Feedback and inquiries started coming our way…..  Can you bring Brian out to the track today because someone wants to watch him drive, would we consider letting Brian move to the Yamaha series – his driving is too good to keep him in Briggs, would we consider letting him drive Nationally, tell Brian to keep up the good work, here is what you can do to help your clutch problem, tell Brian we are very impressed with his driving and to keep racing his race, “Hi, I’m so&so, I was told to keep an eye out and watch Brian today – tell him well done”, here – talk to my mechanic and maybe he can help you with this issue on your jack-shaft…..

Brian is now Homeschooled for flexibility in his schedule. We utilize racing in his education also – science, math, research….  And Brian has recently started working with a personal trainer to build strength and stamina -he has already noticed less fatigue on the track. We believe that this is Brian’s time to shine!  Now 15 yo, he is ready for this next chapter and challenge…
It all seems to coming together except for one thing – FUNDING.  Racing is expensive!  Talent can only take you so far unless others believe in you too and want to see your talent challenged, mentored and developed.  Brian’s Dad is his mechanic but needs help to be able to keep his kart well maintained and competitive.

All parents are proud of their children….. but when others come forward, and tell you how good your child is at racing and they want to see more, you want to do everything you can to give him that chance!  Any donations will be utilized exclusively for kart maintenance, entry fees and travel. We believe in Brian and we hope that you do too…
