My Name is Kirsten cheyne, I’ve organized this to help pay for the vet bills my mom is facing after having to have her poor cats eyes removed.
Hope was recently diagnosed with acute glaucoma, a condition that causes dangerously high pressure inside the eyes. In her case, it developed very suddenly and progressed rapidly over just a couple of days. Despite veterinary care, the pressure continued to rise and caused severe, irreversible damage.
Unfortunately, the glaucoma could not be controlled with medication alone. To prevent ongoing pain and give her the best possible quality of life, the vets determined that surgical removal of both eyes was the only humane option.
While losing her sight is heartbreaking, the surgery was necessary to relieve constant pain and allow her to live comfortably again. Cats adapt remarkably well to blindness, and with proper care, she can still live a happy, safe, and loving life.
The cost of emergency visits, diagnostics, surgery, medications, and aftercare has been overwhelming, which is why we are asking for help. Anything helps! Thank you for reading, we are wishing Hope a speedy recovery.
