Help us by brightening our night like the moon

Dear reader,

My name is Carlos, and I am the son in law of Joseph. I lost my father in 2016, the same year I met my partner and her father Joseph. Ever since he has been by my side in every way possible, and now is the time that I do all I could to avoid loosing my second father.

Nearly three years ago, we heard the word feared the most, ever so devastating and painful, “Cancer”.

Joseph, now 54 years young, has been suffering from what the oncologist diagnosed as “Сolorectal cancer with liver metastases, peritoneal involvement, and regional lymphadenopathy”. His tumours are growing rapidly, up to a cm the past month alone.

If you ever meet Joseph, you would not believe that he is a cancer patient despite all the obvious physical signs. His spirit, his sense of humour, his selflessness, his love, his generosity and his faith have no match. He radiates joy for anyone around him including doctors and nurses! Someone like him deserve a chance to live longer, to have hope, to continue to smile, and this could only happen if we are able to collect the funds needed for a “last hope” urgent treatment, a deadline to commit and fund the treatment is near.

You are probably wondering “why would we help and give our money to a stranger?”, that is a fair question, but allow me to explain that Joseph already used all his savings on every trial, medication and treatment offered to him so far from various countries around the world to no avail. He of course did follow every advice and treatment offered by the NHS (UK National Health Service) before it. This leads to another question, “what guarantees that the new treatment would work?”. The honest answer is there is no guarantee, but we could only trust the medical department studying his condition and case, according to them, there is a 68% success rate when it comes to limiting the mutation and spread of tumours and therefore prolonging his life as much as possible! If you know about cancer, you would agree that this percentage is very promising and gives Joseph and his family much needed hope to continue fighting.

Now allow me to introduce Joseph. Born in 1971, a husband, a father and a grandfather to a beautiful 18 months old. He is a hard worker and a very generous man, always helping others in need. He loves history, excels in general knowledge with special interest in Science. A very wise man, always seeking new challenges. He has so much faith and no fear, with the exception of not being here for his family due to cancer.

You reading to this point means a lot to us!

The treatment initial fee is £40,000, as a family we are working together to fund it as much as possible, but time is of the essence.

Will you help Joseph see his granddaughter grow before his eyes?
