Hi, my name is Odeika Giscombe.
Track is something I have been in love with since a very young age. I started running track at Carver Middle school with Boris Jackson then I went on to Oak Ridge high school where I was coached by the GOAT, William Stamper. Along the way, I competed on the youth circuit with Florida Elite Track club under the direction of Ellis Daniley, the man with the plan and who have been a blessing in my track journey. While at Oak Ridge, I was apart of 3 state championship teams and one runners up. My senior year, I was able to score 32 points in a single state meet. Go Pioneers! Once I graduated high school, I went on to the University of Georgia on a full athletic track scholarship where I earned two bachelor and was All-SEC Conference academically and athletically. Go dawgs. As you can read, this something I am very passionate about and will love to continue.
This is my first outdoor season as Masters Track & Field athlete, thanks to the continuous support and push from Andrea Collier. This has been an amazing journey thus far. I am excited to be back on the track doing what I love after being away not running for 12 years. I understand that there will be ssome ups, some downs but I can here to stay.
I started my Masters career Indoor season at Alachua Sports complex in Gainesville, FL back in February. Since then I have transitioned to outside meets, competing at Knight Invite, UCF, Florida Elite Invitational, Apopka HS, Deland HS, Powerhouse showcase, DPHS, Memorial Day bash, DPHS, Star Athletics Sprint Series, Montverde Academy. My final meet will be the USATF Masters National meet in Greensboro, NC.
As Masters Athletes, we cover all costs for the meets(registration, hotel, airfare, car rental, gas, lodging, food, costs associated with training, etc...) As you can see from the list of expenses, things start to add up pretty quickly. I am asking you to please consider donating to my GofundMe to assist me with fufilling my goal of competing at the World Masters Championship in Sweden, USATF National meet and beyond. No amount is too small.
Thank you all for your consideration. Please keep me lifted in prayer.
