It is with great sadness to share that my mother, Leah Harris-Griffin, has transitioned to be with the Lord early morning, Thursday May 23, 2019. My mother was a very beautiful person both on the inside and out, with an huge heart for children. My mother was a fierce prayer warrior, a strong mother (not just to her own three), but those around the neighborhood, a friend, a caregiver and truly loved by countless family members and friends. There has never been a time that I haven’t seen my mom not lend a hand to help someone, tell someone the truth (whether they liked it or not), or stay up countless nights reading her word and praying. It was very clear early on as a child, that my mother was about living by faith and doing the Lord’s work, and she wanted that instilled in Rachel, Jessica and myself. As I look back now, with children of my own, I truly understand why my mother stayed on her knees and I will be forever grateful.
As many of you know, over the last several years, my mother became very ill with kidney failure and over the last couple of months she became even more fragile, yet, her death was still sudden and unexpected. It was never anticipated or expected that the last days of my mother’s life would be spent in a hospital, which consequently caused some personal affairs to fall by the wayside, including her life insurance policy.
On behalf of the family, and in the most humblest way, we have setup this GoFundMe campaign to seek donations to remember and celebrate my mother, Leah Harris, with a memorial and funeral and any other expenses.
You can also send your generosity directly to:
1) Cashapp: $CittyBoy
2) Paypal : paypal.me/cittyboy
My family and I would like to thank everyone who has been with us, reached out to us, and kept our family in your prayers. If you have any questions please contact me.
Forever grateful
Caleb Griffin
