Shaping the future!

Blessings, my name is John (John John) Johnson! Born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas. Graduating from F.L. Schlagle in 2007, where I played varsity basketball and football all four years. After high school I attended Independence Community College for a year playing football, before moving back home to become a licensed barber.

In 2017 I started my journey as a coach, for a respectable youth organization (kck 59ers) in Wyandotte County. During this time I realized not only how much I loved the game of basketball but even more so the love I had for mentoring the youth!

2021 I started my own aau basketball team, Team4ever! With the thought to build something that would bring notice to Kansas City, Kansas. More importantly the Wyandotte county youth.

I’m using my knowledge and understanding of basketball to prepare these young men for life. Through basketball I am giving them the tools they will need in life to be successful. Hard work, dedication, sacrifice, communication skills, patience, responsibility, accountability and leadership. While installing confidence and trust within them.

Team4ever will play in high level competitive tournaments that will cause us to travel across the nation. Playing the best competition will help the boys grow mentally and or even be granted more opportunities. Also allowing these young men to see life outside of Kansas City.

Donations will be used for: (5o1 c3 supported)

travel- as I mentioned in order to play against the best competition and to be recognize as the best competition, we will have to travel the nation. That would consist the cost of hotel rooms, plane tickets and or rental car (in hopes to get a team van), gas, food and tournament fees.

Equipment- uniforms are a big priority, it’s important that we look well groomed. This way people will understand we take what we do serious and they will take us serious in return. Bikes,Free weights, medicine balls, basketballs,

boxing gloves, boxing gear, heavy bag. Working their body will not only help them physically but also just as much mentally! Two basketball shooting machines. These are very important for the growth of these young men as players. With repetition and hard work the shooting machine will allow the young men to master shooting, more efficiently, and at a faster rate than without it. Giving them a better opportunity within their sport.

Housing- during the summer Team4ever Foundation will be hosting it’s first annual summer camp “Boyz 2 Men”. This is a six week camp where players from Team4ever will stay under the same roof. With a schedule kept consisting of spirituality, education, sport fitness and Community involvement. I will be responsible for these young men during the time of the program.
