Hi, my name is Jessica, and I’m reaching out asking for help for my brave and resilient 11-year-old nephew Austin!

Since birth, Austin has battled a serious kidney condition called hydronephrosis—a condition that causes the kidneys to swell due to urine not draining properly from the kidney to the bladder. He has faced countless doctor visits, hospital stays, and procedures that no child should have to endure.

My sister, is Austin's full-time caregiver who requires complex medical care, including managing his vesicostomy and urostomies — tasks that demand not only technical skill, but also endless patience, love, and attention to detail. My sister has taken on this role with grace and tireless devotion, ensuring Austin receives the best care possible every single day.

She does it all from coordinating appointments and managing medical supplies to providing emotional support and comfort for Austin .

Austin has defeated the odds and proven the doctors wrong by successfully prolonging the need for dialysis for over 11 years, despite undergoing multiple surgeries.

Despite all this, Austin has always shown incredible strength and a beautiful spirit.

Recently, things have become more challenging. His condition has progressed, and now he requires ostomy bags to help manage his body's waste function. This is a significant change for him physically and emotionally, but it is a necessary step as we move closer to the ultimate goal: a life-saving kidney transplant.

We are preparing for the transplant journey—an overwhelming process filled with medical, emotional, and financial challenges. From travel to specialists, pre- and post-operative care, medications, and medical supplies, the costs are mounting quickly.

Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to giving Austin a healthier, more hopeful future.
