In February 2025, my mom went to the doctor for shoulder pain. What we thought was going to be a torn ligament and maybe a surgery turned into Stage 2 breast cancer, or so they thought. As they started doing more and more tests, they found out it was actually Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Since February, she has been going to the doctor for tests and recently started radiation. They found out it is in her bones and mainly all over her spine. They were wanting to do surgery on her neck area to try and stabilize the spinal cord because of the high risk for paralysis. Due to another issue, the surgery will be pushed back until they can get another area under control. She will be admitted into the hospital Friday, May 16th until further evaluation can be done.

As many know, the healthcare system is expensive and insurance doesn’t cover everything. She has been going to the doctor a couple of times a week since February and the bills are rolling in. I am hoping to take one thing off their plate so we can focus on fighting the cancer off as long as we can. Anything helps and everything is very appreciated, even if it’s just a prayer.
