Hello Everyone,

My name is Ali and last night my mom Kristina lost everything in a devastating house fire. We received a call from a paramedic shortly before 11pm letting us know that our moms house had caught on fire. My mom was in distress, severely disoriented and in shock when the paramedics arrived. She was suffering from severe smoke inhalation. We learned she remained in the house for an extended amount of time, attempting to save her animals.

Anyone who knows my mom, knows she would give her life to save an animal and last night she almost did. Her dog, cats and goats were her entire world! It was common for her to come home on any given day with a fresh bite, but also a rescued dog who would have been hit by traffic. Or a momma kitty who was malnourished and needed a safe place to give birth. Or even a baby bird that needed to be nursed back to life. So far we have learned that she lost 4 of her fur babies in the house fire, but that number could grow as the sun comes up and we regain access to the property to continue searching for them all.

My mom has rose from ashes many times in her life, most recently overcoming homelessness and building a beautiful new life for herself. Over the past four years she has gone from living in her car, to living in a motor home and then finally ending up in the home she just lost. She put all of herself into this home. From repairing roofing and flooring to creating a massive garden to create a self sustainable life style, she did it all!

As of now she is in the ICU where she will be intubated for several days as the doctors wait to see how much damage has been done to her body from the smoke. She has no idea that she is going to wake up to no home, no clothes, no possessions of any sort and worst of all, she will learn of the death of her animals.

My brothers and my hope is to begin to raise funds that may ease the burdens she is facing with medical bills and trying to rebuild all that was lost.

We know how hard times are and with the holidays fast approaching, funds are limited for many. But every penny donated and every share of this fundraiser would mean the world to my family!
