Proper Amputation of Kittens Leg

Hi, my name is Michelle King and I rescue animals. This is the first time I have rescued a three legged animal. This baby kitten was found in a parking lot on the hot asphalt. Part of its leg was missing. I took her to the vet, and they said that either the umbilical cord wrapped around the leg, causing it to fall off or she was in an accident, and the mother may have tried to chew off the leg in order to help the baby survive. The problem is that the leg was never properly removed and the phone is still showing through. I need to get her fixed and we are going to do a proper amputation during that time. She is so sweet and loving, and I know that she is in pain every day because of how she reacts when she hast to lean on her leg for anything. I would just like to give her a good quality of life. Dr. Lisa Frederick at Alford animal clinic would be doing the procedure. She will definitely be an inside cat for the rest of her life and I'm hoping to love her enough that she never thinks about her tragic beginning!
