hi there, my name's newt and i've been out as trans/non-binary since i was around 15. initially thinking that i didn't want medical care, i forwent any sort of waiting list or gender affirming care in favour of social transition. this has changed as i've gotten older, and 2 years ago i got onto the waiting list for the gender identity clinic. as of june 2025, it looks like i wont be seen by the GIC for at least 4 more years. 7 years is a long time to wait for gender affirming care.

i have decided that in order to live my truest life, as well as alleviate symptoms of my PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), i would like to start testosterone. i cannot afford to do this without help, and i am making this crowdfunding campaign in order to pursue gender affirming care. most of the money would allow me to have a steady private prescription of testosterone gel for around two years, and the rest of the money will go towards initial consultations, private blood tests, and other issues of medical and self care.

if you've known me for a long time, you know that i am not doing this lightly. any help is life-changing for me and i cannot even begin to describe how thankful i would be. thank you for reading. i love being trans and i deserve care. we all do.
