Help Mike Make the Most of the Time He Has Left
Hi, I'm Mike. I'm 49, an Army veteran, a dog dad to Bailey, a cat wrangler to Soxs—and I'm now facing stage 4 metastatic lung cancer. It’s aggressive, it's spread to my pleura, lymph nodes, possibly my adrenal glands, and I’ve just been told my time is limited—maybe 12 months, if I’m lucky.
I’ve fought hard with chemo, immunotherapy, alternative therapies, and raw grit. But now, it's not just about fighting the cancer. It’s about making the time I have left count.
I want to live with purpose. Not bucket-list clichés. Real moments. Peace. Love. Laughter. Maybe one last trip to the beach. One more mountain view. A few more days where the pain takes a back seat and I can just be me.
This GoFundMe isn’t about “beating” cancer anymore. It’s about living fully, while I still can.
Your support will go toward:
Travel for moments of peace—sea, trees, stars.
Time with loved ones without worrying about bills.
Comfort therapies that make the pain bearable.
A few dreams I’ve quietly held onto.
If you can help—even a little—you’ll be giving me the one thing cancer keeps trying to take: time that feels like mine.
Thank you for walking beside me on this part of the ride.
