Our dad, Marc Pigeon, was diagnosed with COVID on November 6th. He was struggling to breathe at home, Jessi took him to the Rugby ER from there he was flown out to Sanford in Fargo. He has been on a ventilator since November 7th, and has been fighting to live since then with many ups and downs. We are on Day 9 of one of the worst journeys we have ever been on. We cannot visit, and get updates twice a day. Thankfully, Jessi's background has helped us be advocates for him from afar.
For those of you that know Dad, he is always quick to help out neighbors, and they help him when he needs it. He is a self-employed farmer without insurance. When he is able to go home we anticipate his medical bills will be astronomical, estimated at $80k last week. If he qualifies for COVID Cares Act funds they only cover 10k per the social worker. We want to make sure Dad isn't burdened by the stress of this when he goes home to recover. We know lots of people are hurting right now and losing those we love. Dad is a firm believer in God, as are we. We continue to pray every day for him, and those around us that are struggling. If you can find it in your heart to help thy neighbor, it would be greatly appreciated. We are remaining hopeful that God has a plan for our father, a plan that he will return home and get better. Your financial help would be a gift from God in the situation our dad is facing. God bless.
