Our dear friend Natasha (Norman) Perez and her family, lost their home in the Pacific Palisades fire that began yesterday in Los Angeles. Thankfully, they evacuated safely with their beloved dogs, but all else was lost. Her house, neighborhood, and 7 year-old son's elementary school, all gone in the blink of an eye. Feeling helpless across the country, we would like to raise funds to help the Perez family as they begin piecing their lives back together. We are hoping our UMass community and friends can ease some of the initial stress by providing a small financial cushion to help them with basic needs as they process their loss and navigate next steps.
