Recovery and Support for Myla

Donation protected

Hello my Name is Keya Allen, I’m fundraising on behalf of my Mother Wanda Allen And my 15 year old sister/ cousin Myla Brown.

Myla Brown 15 was walking from a friend's house in Lindenwold NJ, late February on Laurel road when she was struck by a moving vehicle. Myla was rushed to Cooper hospital and was placed in the trauma unit in Camden New Jersey . She was immediately rushed into surgery, Myla sustained a severe traumatic brain injury from the impact of her being struck and had to have the right side of her scull removed due to swelling of her brain. Myla was placed on life support and was in a coma for several weeks.

Myla is a very good girl, She had her entire life mapped out. Myla was planning on playing
Softball in the spring along with other things that interest her. She is an amazing student making honor roll every year in school and is Vice president of her student body. Her life long dream was to become a therapist for small children. Myla loved to read books, shop and talk on phone with her friends. She has such a beautiful soul and is a positive influence for her age group. Myla lost her mother in 2014 at the age of 5 due to breast cancer, Myla's needs have surpassed what her Great Aunt (2nd mother) can do for her at this time. Wanda, Mylas aunt works 2 jobs and has cared for Myra from 5 yrs of age when Myla’s mother took sick. Wanda was the care taker of her mother and now the care giver of Myla.

Her traumatic brain injury (TBI) has left Myla unable to walk, speak and communicate. She now needs around the clock care as well as many other needs. Her needs consist of many modifications at the home such as a ramp x2, Bathroom modifications, transportation and around the clock nursing care. These adjustments need to be made within a few months for her to return home. Any help would very much be appreciated. Thank you in advance for all your support, All donations will benefit
Myla Brown’s care.
