This is Mandy Hoie and Kady Eck and we are creating this GoFundMe to help support Dustin and his family while he recovers from a terrible car accident that occurred in the evening of January 11th.

Dustin works in the cities during the week and was on his way home to spend time with his family and spend the weekend watching his kids play basketball, something he loved.

Dustin woke up to airbags and flashing lights in his face. He was able to crawl out of his truck, but has sustained a severely broken hip, pelvis, torn PCL in his right leg and multiple cuts and bruises. Dustin was transported to Bemidji then Fargo via ambulance where he had emergency surgery to repair his hip and pelvis which was in multiple pieces-similar to a jig saw puzzle.

While it is a complete miracle that Dustin is even alive, he has a long and painful road to recover ahead of him. Even as he is lying in the hospital full of unknowns, he is cracking jokes and trying to make others smile and laugh. Dustin shares 4 kids with Danielle. On top of his 4 kids, he also has 9 nieces and nephews that mean the world to him and many other friends with kids that have turned into family.

Dustin and Danielle have one of the biggest hearts we’ve ever known. He and Danielle would do absolutely anything in the world to protect and care for anyone in their family and now they need the same care and support.

Dustin remains in Fargo Hospital after undergoing surgery, and will need Rehab for a minimum of 3 months, with a likely hood of 4-5 months. If anyone knows Dustin they know he will work ever so hard to beat that recommendation!

Danielle has not left his side. She remains the devoted wife that she promised she would be through sickness and in health.

Our goal in raising these funds will be to continue to allow Danielle to stay with Dustin and take care of him and to cover medical expenses. Dustin will be unable to work for a minimum of 6 months and perhaps longer.
