Jake’s Road to Recovery!

Hello everyone,

This is Jake’s fiancée, Alina, and I am creating this GoFundMe for Jake to help pay for his medical bills & monthly expenses while he is out of work and recovering.

While riding with his friends in Happy Jack, he attempted to avoid a puddle and in doing so, caught his left handle bar on a tree. He flew over the handle bars, helmet first, into another tree and down a small embankment. He lost consciousness for a couple minutes while his friends attempted to pull him off a tree and get him back to the camp site. After rushing him to the ER in Payson, we found out he had a collapsed lung, 6 broken ribs, a broken clavicle, a dislocated shoulder, and 4 fractured vertebrae. After minor surgeries, he was airlifted to Banner University in Phoenix so they could provide speciality care for his injuries. Once he got to Banner, they began surgery for internal bleeding in the stomach. After 5 days in the hospital, multiple operations, and a few amazing nurses, Jake made it home!! He’s in a full upper body brace and has an estimate of 6 months recovering time.

For anyone who doesn’t know Jake personally, he’s a very talented appliance installer who loves to provide for his family and an even greater friend who can make you laugh for hours!
