End of Life Expenses
Donation protected
I am a friend of Amanda's. She has been battling stage 4 bladder cancer for 2 years. On Wednesday, she was told that there is nothing else that can be done. The exact time she has left is unkown, but this cancer has spread like wild fire over the past few months. It's now in her bones and is beyond the ability to be controlled. Hospice has been called in. She has a husband, whom she has been married to since high school, 2 daughters - one is 19 and one is 9. Amanda is only 37. Amanda used to have an in-home day care, but hasn't been able to work since her diagnoses 2 years ago. David is no longer working because Amanda needs 24/7 care.
This family has been through hell and are now preparing for the worst case scenario they were hoping would never happen. With neither one working, the last thing they need to worry about is funeral expenses. I have no idea how much a funeral costs in todays world, so I am aiming for $10,000 to cover the cost of the casket, the service, and anything else that comes with the planning. Any help will be appreciated and hopefully the family can focus on themselves and each other instead of having the dreaded cost of the funeral to worry about.
