Everest in Gloucestershire – My 8,849m Virtual Summit Challenge

I’ve been selected to represent Gloucestershire at the World Scout Jamboree in Gdańsk, Poland, in 2027. To get there, I need to raise £3,500 to cover the costs of the trip, and I’m tackling a nine-month indoor climbing challenge to make it happen.

Across nine sessions over nine months, I’ll complete the full height of Mount Everest – 8,849m – by taking on one dedicated climb day each month.

Each session, I’ll be climbing 1,000m or more at 270 Climbing Park, steadily making my way from ‘Base Camp’ all the way to the ‘Summit’. I’ll be sharing regular updates, videos, photos, and milestone moments as the metres add up.

This challenge isn’t just about reaching the top — it’s about showing commitment, resilience, and gratitude to everyone who supports me along the way. Every donation, no matter the amount, pushes me a little closer to the summit and brings the jamboree within reach.

Any excess funds raised will go to support other Scouts attending the Jamboree.
