Hi, my name is Katherine and I am fundraising for my sister and her baby's medical bill. They are from the Philippines and currently on a Tourist Visa here in Canada and currently residing on our house. They arrive here in Canada together with her husband and she's on her 24th week of pregnancy. When they arrive here, we look for midwives who can help my sister with the medical checkup and to plan for home birth as it is not much costly as they are currently on a tourist visa and her husband is planning to look for a job here.

Things change when my sister on her 35th week, suddenly have contractions really bad that we need to bring her to the emergency section in the Hospital here in Nanaimo Regional Hospital as she and the baby really needs to be check because she's bleeding a lot and the contractions are really starting to close to 2mins interval and the midwife inform that she is on labor already and really need medical attention quickly.

The doctors there inform that she is loosing a lot of blood and needs to be in emergency C-Section as she and the baby's life is in danger if not given medical attention as soon as possible. She has complicated labour informed by the Obstetrician. After the emergency C-Section, the baby arrive safely and my sister is in need of medical attention as her hemoglobin and iron goes down. After the operation, she goes through blood transfusion and iron infusion to keep up her statistics.

The baby then is need to be strictly monitored as he is a pre-mature baby and in need to by check every hour and needs to be check the blood work if there is any complications. The midwife also said that he is a jaundice baby and needs to be strictly taken care of.
