Dollars for Danny

Unfortunately, this is not good news. Danny is in the cancer unit at McLeod. His condition has worsened and he is not steady enough or strong enough to live on his own at home at the moment. To make matters worse, he is several months behind on his mortgage and bills, which has him constantly upset and anxious. Please keep him in your prayers and if you can help financially, it would be greatly appreciated. ❤️

If you looked up the word “friend” in the dictionary, there’s a good chance you’d find a picture of Danny Porter. He’s always the first person to donate. The first guy to give you a ride if you need it or drop off a surprise Christmas gift. Simply put, he’s the type of human we should all strive to be.

Now, he finds himself in a different place. Just a few weeks ago, he hadn’t been feeling well and just couldn’t get better. He finally took himself to the ER and after several rounds of doctors and tests, he received some devastating news. He has esophageal and abdominal cancer.

Because the cancer is so quick-moving and aggressive, the treatment will have to be the same. Danny starts the treatment this week. He already has a feeding tube, is exhausted beyond belief and cannot work. Unfortunately, that has him worrying about things he shouldn’t have to be worried about.

That’s where we come in. Let’s let Danny concentrate on getting better. We can take care of the other stuff … the bills, medical expenses and living expenses, etc.
