Dear friends, family, neighbors, and the Wellington community,

We, a group of neighbors and friends, have come together to create this GoFundMe to support Luca and the Melluzzi family during this challenging time.

Yesterday at 6:30 p.m., Luca was crossing 441 on his way to the gym after school when he was struck by a truck. Tragically, the driver did not stop. Luca is now in the ICU with multiple brain bleeds and a skull fracture. He and his family need all of our prayers, love, and support to help them through this.

Many of you may know Luca as a student at Cardinal Newman, or perhaps you've seen him at our local Publix, always helping with a smile. Luca has a passion for running and photography, and his resilience and spirit have always been a light to everyone who knows him. Now, more than ever, we want him to feel the love and strength of his community. We want him to know he’s not fighting alone.

With mounting hospital bills and an uncertain road to recovery, we humbly ask for any support you can offer. Every donation, prayer, and word of encouragement means the world to us and brings Luca one step closer to healing.
