Kimberly's Journey to Recovery, Mission Bay Yacht Club
Donation protected
Hello,
Many of us have had amazing experiences with Kimberly, "Kimmy", at Mission Bay Yacht Club and she needs our help. In early January, Kimberly experienced some symptoms that led to an eventual diagnosis of Miller Fisher syndrome. Miller Fisher attacks the nerves in your body. Kimberly is staying in high spirits, but her road to recovery will be 6-8 months long and will include learning to walk and move her body again. She is currently being well cared for by her family at Kaiser. Kimberly's family has been by her side the entire time. As you can imagine, there is a financial burden to not working for both Kimberly and her parents, as well as the financial burden of an extended hospital stay. Once she is able to be discharged from the hospital she will go to a rehabilitation center to help her with daily functioning. I know our Mission Bay Yacht Club family and community will rally to support Kimberly with well wishes, prayers, and financially if possible. Funds will go directly to Kimberly and her family to use as needed. Thank you for your support!
