We know in Durham we show up to for each other. In recent weeks we responded to renewed threats against our immigrant and refugee neighbors, forming over 40 school support and protection teams, and stood up the Durham Community Care Collaborative among a network of allied nonprofits and direct-serving organizations to feed over 2,000 affected families. We know that all of our efforts strengthen our bonds, and our resolve to continue showing up for the long fight ahead.

To continue growing together, we will gather on Sunday, December 14th from 2-5pm where we will reflect on our community-wide response to threats against immigrant and refugee families over recent weeks, how it can inform future action in the face of new threats, and some shared visioning of the just Durham we are working toward.

In order to cover costs for our meeting (venue, interpretation, child care, and refreshments), we are raising funds from community members. Please consider making a donation today!
