Helping Benford Family after Devastating Fire

Donation protected
Hello all.  This is Alan Kirkwood ( BTW Class of 67)!  One of the most devastating things that can happen to anyone is the loss of one's home and loss of all of their personal and treasured items.  Unfortunately, Phyllis Benford (Class of 68), wife of the late Willie( Billie) Benford (Class of 67), experienced a devastating home fire.  ( Both were members of the BTW Band)!

On the night of Tuesday, January 26th, her house was destroyed due to a malfunctioning electrical outlet.  We praise God that no one was injured or hurt, but the fact remains that she lost everything.

My fellow Washingtonian classmates and Warriors, at this time Phyllis and her family desperately need our help.  The estimated cost of her loss is $100,000 for her home and an estimated cost of $30,000 for the contents.

She is living in temporary housing now, but desires to maintain her remaining years in the Whitehaven area of Memphis.  Her immediate expenses are for day-to-day living expenses ( food, clothing and personal care items).

I am not a regular Face Book person, but I know quite a number of you are!  So let those of you who are on Face Book, pass this message and request your "Friends" and contacts, please.  I am sure you will follow through,  simply because "We Lead and others follow"!

We are setting  a goal of $10,000 and  we ask each of you to please do what you can; great or small is appreciated.

May each of you continue to be blessed in all that you do and say.
