Hello everyone,
As you may, or may not know my name is Johanna Green, and some may know me as “Certified”. I am a single mother of 3 beautiful daughters, and reside in Durham NC. Times have hit us hard here lately, and we are asking for prayers, as well as any donations of monetary contributions or any household items.
I am reaching out to you in a time of great need and hardship. As many know, we just buried the girls father in August. Now our beloved home was just recently destroyed by a devastating fire, leaving us with nothing but the clothes on our backs. We never imagined that we would be faced with such a tragic event, especially back to back, but we are determined to rebuild our lives and find hope amidst the ashes. With it happening right here at Christmas, it has made things especially hard and even more emotional. Unfortunately, I did not have insurance so I am stating from ground zero!!
The fire not only took away our physical possessions, but it also shattered our sense of security and stability. We are now left with the daunting task of starting over from scratch. We have lost everything - our furniture, personal belongings, and cherished memories that cannot be replaced.
We are turning to the generosity and kindness of our friends, family, and the wider community for support. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference in helping us rebuild our lives. The funds raised will be used to secure temporary shelter, replace essential items, and begin the long process of rebuilding our home.
We understand that times are tough for everyone, but any contribution you can make will be deeply appreciated. Your support will not only provide us with the means to rebuild, but it will also restore our faith in humanity and remind us that we are not alone in this journey.
