It's time to Help Jim Kolkka

Anyone who has ever met Jim Kolkka knows that he is loyal and selfless, always thinking of others, and continually putting his needs and wants behind everyone else’s. He just gives from the bottom of his heart, because he feels it is the right thing to do. And he never asks for anything in return.
As you may know, Jim has severe psoriatic arthritis that has ravaged his body since he was a young teenager, causing constant pain and loss of function and mobility, despite six joint replacements. Recently, his psoriatic arthritis has also caused bone loss in both his upper and lower jaw, so he is losing teeth and developing abscesses. In the face of all of this, Jim gracefully walks through life with a smile on his face, kind words for others, and always eager to help friends and strangers alike.
Before he loses all his bone, he needs major dental surgeries (more than one) that are medically necessary, so infection does not further damage his teeth, jaw, or his artificial joints. This will involve extracting multiple teeth, bone grafts, implants, and bridges.
Unfortunately, these types of dental surgeries are not covered by his insurance, so he has to pay for it out of pocket…and it will cost about $40,000. And he urgently needs to have it done very soon to prevent infections in his joints.
Jim is always there for others. No matter what the need, he drops what is he doing to be there for others - all the time. But he deserves to receive the same love and care he puts out to the world. And though he would never ask for it himself, he needs the world, and all of us, to be there for him now to help him get these surgeries.
I have known Jim Kolkka since 1982 when we met at the University of Arizona and became roommates. He has been one of my best friends ever since, and has become part of my family. And because we know what a rare gem he is in this world, we are starting this Go Fund Me for Jim’s major dental work, so he can have his teeth fixed correctly, thus protecting his jaw and his health.
From the depths of our hearts, we are asking if you if possible to please contribute whatever amount you can, and to please forward this link to anyone who has ever known Jim or may want to help, via email, social media, and good ole fashioned word of mouth.
