No Charges To Be Filed Against Deputies In Yantis Case
Posted on July 29, 2016
Attorney General Lawrence Wasden has finished his review of a shooting case back in 2015, and determined no charges will be filed against the deputies involved.

The shooting resulted in the death of Council rancher, Jack Yantis.

Back on November 1, 2015, Yantis died after an altercation with Adams County Sheriff Deputies, Cody Roland and Brian Wood. Police say the rancher was shot after one of his bulls was hit by a car and had charged emergency crews.

KBOI-2-TV reports, after reviewing more than 5,000 pages of reports, lab results, witness statements and other materials, AG Wasden said the evidence was insufficient to support a conviction beyond reasonable doubt of the two deputies.

On November 1, 2015 Jack Yantis, lifelong Council Icon, moved on from this life as he knew it.  His lifelong companion, best friend and wife, Donna, struggles to hangs on, after suffering a massive heart attack when Jack was killed, as well as being diagnosed with broken heart syndrome,  which is brought on by stressful situations, such as the death of a loved one.
Jack was a lumberjack for most of his life as well as a rodeo cowboy and rancher.  Jack was loved by everyone that knew him.  He was good hearted, down to earth and would have done anything for anybody.

Exorbitant expenses are mounting up and we are asking for your contribution of love to help with them.

It is with great love, hope and compassion that this account has been set up and we would like to Thank You in advance for your help.
